To determine how Nashua might best attract new companies to settle there, we interviewed a number of established companies as well as companies that had just arrived. We asked what they liked and didn’t like about the city, and how they thought the OED might serve them.
They liked the proximity to NH resources, the amenities of the city and the availability of a highly qualified workforce (including Massachusetts). They didn’t like the cost of electricity and some of the barriers to getting permits. They wanted the OED to facilitate groups and discussions in the business community, and to help them find resources and funding.
This formed the basis of our integrated marketing campaign for Nashua OED. This campaign has improved their ability to market Nashua to prospective companies looking to relocate and to better able work with existing companies.
