Develop a tourism initiative to create economic opportunities, establish a consistent brand, and promote the Town of Bethlehem as a great place to live, work, play, and visit.
Sullivan Creative has been the agency of record for the Town of Bethlehem’s community branding, marketing, and economic development initiative since 2020. Bethlehem is a quaint town located in New Hampshire’s White Mountains region and offers year-round recreational opportunities and dining and lodging accommodations.
The first step of this initiative was to create a new Town logo and tagline, so we conducted market research and community focus sessions to gather insights into crafting the brand. The chosen logo depicts New Hampshire’s soaring mountains with colors representative of the alpen glow visible during sunset. The tagline selected was “Just Be,” which is alliterative, adaptable, positive, and sophisticated. When using the tagline, we often incorporate adjectives or descriptive words to highlight specific assets of the community, such as Just Be Adventurous, Just Be Outdoors, Just Be Creative, and Just Be Hungry.
After establishing a brand and tagline, the next big project Sullivan Creative completed for the Town of Bethlehem was a new website. Their website serves a dual purpose, not only promoting the region to visitors but also holds all necessary Town information for residents.
Over the past few years, one of our goals has been to build a robust digital library of assets for marketing the Town. We have taken a variety of seasonal photography and produced a series of short videos promoting activities, events, and attractions in the region. These assets are available to local businesses and organizations to use in their individual marketing efforts.
Most recently, we created the A-Z Summer Guide to Bethlehem, which showcased activities, events, and businesses in the Town. To promote the Guide, we designed “Just Be” stickers with a QR code to the Guide on the back. Stickers were distributed to local businesses, and we encouraged business owners to hand them out to visitors to find additional activities and offerings of the area. The Guide was also promoted on social media, email marketing, and other digital marketing campaigns.
Additional year-round initiatives for the Town of Bethlehem include email marketing, paid and unpaid social media, Google Ads, and a variety of print and digital advertising.
